Josh Robertson focuses on local contract procurement, legislative policy tracking and research, committee hearing preparations, licensing and professional regulation, legislative conference planning, and client advocacy events. In addition, Josh administers PACs for Midwest Strategy Group, clients, and legislators, filing all necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with State Campaign Finance Laws.
Prior to joining Midwest Strategy Group, Josh served as a Legislative Assistant in the Michigan House of Representatives focusing on military and veterans affairs and education policy. Josh also worked in the Michigan State Senate where he concentrated his efforts on analysis of the Michigan Department of Corrections budget and local government policy.
Additionally, Josh has experience working within Congress, where he assisted with constituent and legislative issues in the areas of energy and technology policy. Josh completed an academic program with Georgetown University in Washington D.C., working with the congressional affairs team for an aerospace defense firm.
Josh received his Bachelor’s Degree in American Public Policy from Western Michigan University, and is a lifetime member of the National Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Josh actively participates on the Habitat for Humanity Michigan Awards Banquet Committee and also enjoys volunteering at local community events and festivals with the Old Town Commercial Association (Lansing, MI).
